James is an Equity Partner in Oury Clark Chartered Accountants and a founder of the central London law practice,Oury Clark Solicitors. He¡¯s also a founding shareholder in Clareville Capital Partners LLP, a London-based hedge fund company established in 1996. A year later, he assisted in the establishment of Clareville¡¯s Pegasus fund which brought together over 200 investors as part of the MSCI Hedge Fund Index. Through the Pegasus fund and from 2004 until present day, James worked with a large number of start-up companies emanating from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College, Kings College, University College London, The BioFrontiers Institute in Colorado, Harvard/MIT, and Cornell.
At Eton College, James received his education before moving on to Law at the University of Buckingham where he became a dual-qualified practising solicitor, a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, and gained entry to the International Bar Association while becoming a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. James has been widely-recognised for his pro bono work acting for indigent death row inmates across the global as well as for the families affected by the London bombings in 2005.
